The Assistant Principal supports the Head of School and/or Principal in overseeing all campus operations, including financial planning, community engagement, staff development, and day-to-day management at the Sacramento, CA location. This role is onsite and compensation is not specified, supporting the Merryhill School community in its mission to foster confident, resilient, and independent learners. This position exists to provide administrative leadership and operational oversight to ensure a safe, welcoming, and well-organized learning environment. The Assistant Principal contributes to the school's goals by guiding teachers, strengthening family relationships, and ensuring that students remain at the center of every decision.

What you'll do

• Support implementation and continuous improvement of curriculum and instructional practices
• Observe classrooms and provide coaching and feedback to teachers
• Partner with leadership to monitor student progress and support academic interventions
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and retaining high-quality educators
• Support daily campus operations including scheduling and facility oversight
• Ensure compliance with state licensing, health, and safety requirements
• Build strong relationships with families through consistent communication.
