The Cook role is onsite at Chestnut Park Nursing Home in Oneonta, NY, with compensation of $18 per hour. Confidence Management Solutions is recruiting for a long-term care nursing facility serving residents. The cook prepares and serves safe, consistent meals that meet established recipes and standards. The role supports residents’ dining needs through food preparation, portioning, quality checks, and kitchen cleanliness, and may manage the kitchen when the Food Service Director is absent.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to standardized recipes
• serve meals or prepare them for delivery using correct portions and required standards
• ensure food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
• taste prepared food for quality control
• clean the kitchen after preparation and service
• store or discard excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
• manage the kitchen in the Food Service Director’s absence.

Why this role

Day and evening shifts are available, with alternating weekends and holidays. One year of nursing home, senior living, hospital, or healthcare experience and one year of large-scale cooking experience are required. ServSafe certification is preferred or may be obtained after hire.
