The Behavioral Health Van Driver – Class B CDL role is onsite in Arcata, CA, with compensation of $21.20–$26.95 per hour. United Indian Health Services’ Behavioral Health Department provides transportation support for clients and healthcare operations. The driver transports clients to non-emergency appointments and moves medical supplies and equipment while maintaining safe, timely service. The role also supports transportation records, vehicle readiness, client assistance, and day-to-day administrative needs in a culturally responsive manner.

What you'll do

• Transport clients to clinical appointments and healthcare facilities
• deliver and pick up medical equipment and supplies
• follow assigned schedules
• inspect and maintain vehicle cleanliness
• complete transportation logs and mileage records
• document appointments in the EHR
• assist clients entering and exiting vehicles
• follow traffic, safety, HIPAA, and agency procedures
• coordinate with departmental staff
• assist with administrative tasks such as greeting clients, scheduling, check-in, and answering phones
• attend required training and cultural presentation or training at least annually.
