Accounts Payable Specialist

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is 100% onsite at the company headquarters in Kansas City, MO, with pay of $23–$27 per hour. Master’s Transportation supports fleet sales, rental, and service operations, and is building its accounting team and A/P processes. The specialist processes and reconciles vendor invoices, prepares payments, and maintains accurate records to support timely payment and reliable financial reporting. The role also works with vendors and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve accounts payable workflows.

What you'll do

• Receive and process vendor invoices and credits
• check invoices against purchase orders, receiving records, and approvals
• code invoices to appropriate accounts and divisions
• enter transactions and prepare reports
• reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• prepare payments for approval
• maintain vendor records and tax forms
• respond to vendor and internal payment questions
• assist with month- and year-end accounting, audits, and vendor tax reporting
• help improve A/P processes.
