Staff Accountant – Lodging

Job overview

The Staff Accountant – Lodging role is onsite in Minneapolis, MN. Compensation is $65,000–$75,000 per year. The accountant supports day-to-day accounting and financial reporting for CSM Corporation’s portfolio of lodging properties. The role prepares and reviews financial statements, reconciles accounts, analyzes variances, and supports budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax work papers. Accurate reporting and adherence to GAAP and internal controls help the lodging business and its partners make informed financial decisions.

What you'll do

• Prepare and review monthly balance sheets and profit-and-loss accounts
• reconcile control accounts
• prepare month-end adjusting journal entries and financial statements
• prepare year-end work papers for tax returns and audits
• participate in forecasting and budgeting
• support business partners with accounting procedures and new users
• follow GAAP and internal controls
• identify opportunities to improve accounting processes
• respond to reporting and information needs.
