Registered Dietitian Nutritionist — Diabetes and Maternal Health

The Registered Dietitian Nutritionist position is onsite in Lexington, VA, with a flexible four- or five-day work week, including a possible 4/10 schedule. Compensation is $70,000–$85,000 per year. The role supports the integrated healthcare team and Maternal Health Hub at Rockbridge Area Health Center, a community health center focused on access to comprehensive, affordable care. The dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy and counseling to help patients manage diabetes, maternal health nutrition needs, weight management, and other chronic conditions. Individualized care plans, patient education, and coordination with medical providers contribute to improved health outcomes and quality of life.

What you'll do

• Provide medical nutrition therapy for diabetes and chronic disease management
• deliver diabetes self-management education and nutrition counseling
• develop individualized nutrition care plans with medical providers
• educate patients on meal planning, glucose monitoring, and lifestyle changes
• support maternal health nutrition
• document encounters in the electronic health record
• coordinate with the interdisciplinary team
• support population health and quality improvement activities.

Why this role
