Senior Living Cook

Job overview

The Senior Living Cook role is onsite in Phoenix, AZ. Pay is $19–$21 per hour. Merrill Gardens at Anthem is a senior living community whose mission is to provide an inspiring environment for residents, families, and team members. The cook prepares food according to recipes, production amounts, and residents’ dietary needs, using timely preparation and batch cooking or cook-to-order methods where appropriate. Food safety, sanitation, and accurate kitchen records support consistent dining service for residents.

What you'll do

• Assist in preparing food according to production amounts, recipes, and procedures
• prepare food promptly and use batch cooking or cook-to-order methods where appropriate
• follow food-safety practices and residents’ dietary requirements
• attend dining-services meetings and in-service training
• clean and sanitize work areas and equipment
• follow food handling and storage procedures
• maintain temperature charts and records
• complete assigned cleaning.
