Preschool Teacher Assistant

The Preschool Teacher Assistant role is onsite in Anoka, MN. Pay is $14–$18 per hour. The position supports Cadence Education’s early childhood programs and classroom team. Working under the School Director and classroom leadership, the assistant helps maintain a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment that supports children’s physical, social, emotional, developmental, and behavioral needs, including children with IEPs. The role also supports curriculum implementation and compliance with safety and licensing requirements.

What you'll do

• Support a positive and respectful classroom
• welcome children and families
• assist with individual developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including following IEPs and behavioral support plans as directed
• support curriculum planning and implementation
• communicate with families and coworkers using approved tools
• follow safety and supervision procedures and document incidents
• assist with managing and reporting escalated child behaviors
• participate in required meetings, training, and professional development.

Why this role

Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred but not required if state licensing requirements are met. State licensing qualifications and required background clearances and health screenings apply; CDA is preferred but not required if state requirements are satisfied. Schedules may vary and are not guaranteed to be eight-hour shifts.
