• Collect and process blood and other specimens, explain collection procedures, label and match specimens to requisitions, centrifuge and prepare samples for testing and transport, and maintain specimen integrity.
• The role also includes troubleshooting, training, workflow recommendations, maintenance records, decontamination, patient-information updates, and responding to telephone inquiries about laboratory results.
