Part-Time Weekend Residential Counselor — Daytime

The Part-Time Weekend Residential Counselor works onsite at 6 Hartford Street in Dorchester, MA, on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., for 16 hours. Pay is $21.40–$23.33 per hour. The role supports a transitional housing program for veterans using a Housing First/Low Barrier model. The counselor assists tenants, monitors safety and security, conducts building rounds, and supports daily living and leisure activities. The role helps maintain a respectful environment that empowers veterans to reach their highest level of functioning.

What you'll do

• Interact with and assist tenants as needed
• monitor building safety and security
• conduct regular rounds and maintain interaction logs
• answer phones, take messages, and maintain records
• respond to email
• assist tenants with meals and activities of daily living
• work with staff on leisure activities and a respectful atmosphere
• may run groups during the assigned shift.
