Job overview

The Senior Director of Development role is hybrid, based in Boston, MA, with one day per week in the Downtown Boston office and regular donor meetings in Boston. The annual salary range is $155,000–$165,000. One Family works to prevent homelessness and break the cycle of family poverty in Massachusetts through education, career pathways, and policy advocacy. This executive-team leader will shape and deliver philanthropic growth strategy, expand funding across individual, corporate, and foundation giving, and strengthen donor relationships. The role also leads a three-person development team and aligns fundraising with One Family’s mission and long-term priorities.

What you'll do

  • Partner with the Executive Director and executive team on organization-wide strategy
  • develop and execute multi-year philanthropic growth plans
  • use pipeline analysis and fundraising data to set targets and manage revenue
  • cultivate major donors, board members, foundations, and corporate funders
  • serve on the Board’s Development Committee
  • expand individual giving
  • champion ethical storytelling
  • recruit, develop, and retain a three-person development team.
