What you'll do

• Review patient charts and clinical documentation
• obtain required prior authorizations and referrals
• verify insurance eligibility and benefits
• communicate estimated patient financial responsibility and collect required amounts as applicable
• submit, track, and follow up on authorizations through payer contacts and portals
• document authorization status and communications
• coordinate with patients, clinical staff, surgery schedulers, and insurers
• maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable requirements.
