The Senior Research Engineer — Frontier Data role is onsite in Seattle, WA. Compensation is $250,000–$350,000 OTE plus equity. Turing’s mission is to accelerate superintelligence and support frontier AI research and enterprise deployment. The engineer investigates frontier AI systems, builds research-grade datasets, prototypes, tools, and evaluation frameworks, and translates findings into practical improvements. Collaboration across research, engineering, product, and operations helps advance model capabilities and real-world applications.

What you'll do

• Investigate frontier AI capabilities, limitations, and training methods
• formulate research questions
• explore synthetic and agentic data generation, reinforcement learning, post-training, model understanding, benchmarks, and evaluation
• develop datasets, experiments, prototypes, tools, and evaluation frameworks
• train and evaluate models
• analyze results
• promote rigor and reproducibility
• collaborate across teams and communicate findings.
