The Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse role is onsite at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD, paying $60–$65 per hour. The nurse works in the Mother Infant Care Center/Labor & Delivery environment, providing inpatient care to mothers and newborns, including high-risk obstetric cases. The RN assesses and cares for antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn patients; supports deliveries and procedures; monitors maternal and fetal conditions; and responds to emergencies to provide continuous clinical care.

What you'll do

• Care for normal and high-risk obstetric patients
• perform and interpret fetal monitoring
• administer medications, blood products, and titrated IV drips
• assist with vaginal and Cesarean deliveries
• assist with amniocentesis and NST/CST testing
• recover mothers and infants after anesthesia
• respond to emergencies
• provide newborn care and resuscitation.
