Shift Manager

The Shift Manager role is onsite in Oakland, CA, with compensation of $21–$23.10 per hour. The manager works under the Restaurant Manager and leads restaurant team members during assigned shifts. The role exists to keep shift operations running smoothly while maintaining food quality, cleanliness, sanitation, and customer-service standards. By supervising team members, managing shift tasks, and controlling costs and inventory according to the manager’s level, the Shift Manager supports restaurant performance.

What you'll do

• Maintain restaurant cleanliness and follow company procedures and standards for food quality, sanitation, and customer service
• manage costs within budget
• set up cash registers and support smooth shift transitions
• supervise and direct team members
• train team members when requested
• complete shift reports and documentation
• conduct operational walk-throughs
• enforce safety and security procedures. Higher shift levels include independent shift management, inventory and food-order processes, cost control, and team mentorship.
