The Certified Medical Assistant role is onsite in Hobbs, NM. The posting lists pay of $19–$23 per year. The assistant supports clinic patient flow as part of the patient care team and helps address the health and psychosocial needs of patients and families. Working under clinical supervision, the assistant performs patient-care, technical, and clerical tasks that support safe clinic visits. The role contributes to assessment, treatment, patient education, documentation, and care planning while escalating questions or needs to licensed clinicians.

What you'll do

• Check in patients and record vital signs, height, weight, chief complaint, relevant history, pain status, allergies, and medications
• prepare patients for examinations and procedures
• administer ordered medications and immunizations within scope and seek assistance when needed
• review medical records
• support and comfort patients and families
• provide standardized patient education as instructed and refer further teaching needs to an RN or provider
• provide emergency care using basic life support and automated defibrillator equipment when necessary
• assist with procedures
• perform delegated phlebotomy, specimen processing, and waived testing as applicable
• support quality measures and equipment checks
• document observations, care, and outcomes in the electronic medical record
• contribute to care planning.

Why this role

The posting allows certification as an MA, CMA, RMA, or CCMA within one year of hire, or an LPN license in New Mexico; CPR–First Aid and CPI certification are required within the first 30 days.
