Surgery Scheduler

The Surgery Scheduler role is onsite in Evansville, IN. Compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The position supports Talley Eye Institute’s ophthalmology practice and surgery scheduling team. The scheduler coordinates patient appointments and surgical schedules among patients, clinics, surgeons, and surgery facilities. The role also helps patients understand surgery preparation and follow-up, completes required paperwork, and supports accurate coordination of ophthalmic procedures.

What you'll do

• Schedule patient appointments and surgeries
• coordinate and optimize schedules with clinics, surgeons, and surgery centers
• counsel patients about cataract, retinal, glaucoma, cornea, and eyelid surgeries
• answer general questions about technologies and medications
• discuss non-covered benefits
• complete consent and other surgery forms
• forward surgical paperwork to facilities
• explain pre-admission testing, surgery-day expectations, and follow-up care
• type patient History & Physical forms
• scan and categorize patient history and medical paperwork.
