The Plant Operator Trainee — Water Treatment role is onsite at the North Regional Water Treatment Plant in Naples, FL. Compensation is $21 per hour. The trainee supports water plant operations and maintenance under the close supervision of licensed operators. The role is intended as a training position and contributes to reliable plant operations by monitoring systems, inspecting equipment and processes, testing water quality, timing chemicals, and performing preventive maintenance. The trainee reports equipment faults and problem situations to appropriate personnel.

What you'll do

• Operate and maintain assigned plant systems and related equipment under close supervision
• monitor plant systems by computer
• conduct visual inspections and monitor processes for proper operation, failures, leaks, or other problems
• adjust equipment operations as appropriate
• perform preventive maintenance checks
• test water quality and time chemicals
• report faulty equipment or problems.
