Accounts Payable Specialist

Job overview

The Accounts Payable Specialist role is onsite in Excelsior, MN, with compensation of $30–$32 per hour. The position reports to the Controller at PorchLight Services. The specialist processes vendor payments and maintains accounts payable records, while supporting month-end accounting and limited annual reporting. Accurate invoice handling, reconciliations, and vendor communication help maintain reliable financial records and support the Controller’s accounting operations.

What you'll do

• Enter and process vendor invoices and use tax
• route invoices for approval and resolve discrepancies
• prepare weekly check runs
• respond to vendor inquiries
• record ACH/EFT payments, payroll, bonuses, and petty cash in the general ledger
• reconcile monthly statements, use tax, and balance sheet accounts
• maintain fixed asset records
• assist with 1099 reporting, audits, forecasting, and budgeting.

Why this role
