Dietitian I PRN This is an onsite position in Washington, DC, with a salary range of $72,758.00 - $130,041.00 per year. Provides comprehensive Medical Nutrition Therapy to inpatients with a variety of medical conditions, including malnutrition assessments, nutrition-focused physical exams, diet education, and nutrition support recommendations.

What you'll do

• Consults with and/or makes recommendations to physicians and other allied health professionals regarding patients' nutritional statuses, nutrient needs, or specific diet plans.
• Formulates nutrition assessment, evaluation, and follow-up plans for patients at nutrition risk.
• Recommends and documents patient's nutrition treatment findings and plan in the patient's medical record.
• Consults in/outpatients in diet rationale for self-management.
• Participates in clinical rounds, department/service meetings, and communicates appropriate information to administrative personnel.
• Must be flexible to cross-cover and train in all areas including Neonatal ICU and Pediatrics if needed.
• Reviews annual literature pertinent to responsibilities and presents to peers.
• Performs annual formal professional presentations.
• Develops, implements, or participates in nutrition-related projects.
• Provides relief and cross-coverage.
• Maintains current CDR credentials and DC Licensure.
• Holds current membership in a professional organization.
• Participates in licensing surveys.
• Assumes other appropriate duties.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree in Food & Nutrition Science and completion of an accredited dietetic internship. Master's degree required if completed after January 1, 2024.
