The work contributes to aircraft interiors by cutting, sewing, shaping, assembling, and upholstering materials and components while operating standard upholstery equipment.

What you'll do

• Perform sewing and upholstery operations
• disassemble and reassemble passenger seats
• apply glue and adhesives and install hardware and rivets
• shape foam
• lay out, match, cut, and sew fabrics
• develop patterns from prints, sketches, models, and instructions
• inspect and work with fabrics, leather, foam, and other materials
• upholster aircraft seats and other soft goods
• set up and operate routers, sanders, and sewing machines.
