What you'll do

  • Welcome individuals at the Family Shelter Services office
  • assist survivors with information about obtaining an order of protection
  • help complete screening documents
  • learn to provide courthouse directions and emotional support using trauma-informed care
  • assist with petitions depending on internship duration
  • connect clients with resources and referrals
  • prepare client-file documentation
  • maintain confidentiality and represent the program professionally.
