Preschool Lead Teacher

The Preschool Lead Teacher role is an onsite, full-time position in Waconia, MN. Pay is $17–$22 per hour. The teacher supports children’s learning and development at a Cadence Education school. Under the School Director, the lead teacher plans and delivers developmentally appropriate curriculum, leads classroom operations, and implements education programs. The role supports children’s physical, social, emotional, and developmental needs while partnering with families and colleagues and maintaining licensing and safety standards.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming and inclusive classroom
• build professional relationships with children and families
• respond to developmental, behavioral, cultural, and learning needs, including implementing IEPs and behavioral support plans as required
• plan, implement, and document developmentally appropriate curriculum
• communicate with families, coworkers, and leadership
• maintain safe supervision
• document and report incidents and escalated behaviors
• follow company policies and licensing requirements
• participate in required training, meetings, and professional development.

Why this role

State licensing qualifications for Lead Teachers are required. An associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred; CDA is preferred but not required if state requirements are met. Schedules may vary and are not guaranteed to be eight-hour shifts.
