Assistant Infant/Waddler Teacher

The Assistant Infant/Waddler Teacher role is onsite in Eliot, ME. Compensation is $16–$20 per hour. The position supports The Village Nest’s new infant/waddler room and its nature-based early childhood program. The teacher supervises and engages children, plans and implements educational activities, and supports development through exploration and play. The role also maintains communication with families and collaborates with staff to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children.

What you'll do

• Supervise and engage children in aftercare activities
• plan and implement nature-based and educational activities aligned with program goals and curriculum
• foster children’s development through exploration and play
• communicate with parents through the Brightwheel app and document activities and incidents
• collaborate with staff
• provide first aid for minor injuries and administer medication for children with medical conditions or allergies
• change diapers.
