Customer Service Representative — Patient Durable Medical Equipment

Job overview

The Customer Service Representative—Patient Durable Medical Equipment works onsite in Celina, TX, during Monday–Friday business hours; occasional overtime, early mornings, evenings, or weekends may be required as workload demands. Pay is $17 per hour. The role supports the Quality Assurance Team at J&B Medical Supply. The representative researches held patient orders, resolves order and documentation issues, and coordinates with other teams so orders can be released and supplies shipped in a timely manner. Accurate insurance, authorization, and order information helps maintain service quality and patient satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Research held durable medical equipment orders and resolve root causes
• rework expired prescriptions or address insurance changes as needed
• verify patient plan changes
• obtain prior authorizations and resolve assignment-of-benefits or other discrepancies
• coordinate order issues with other teams
• correct Electronic Data Interchange 835 and 837 ERA file information
• enter relevant notes into the HDMS system
• escalate unusual issues to Team Support or the Senior Team Leader.
