The role supports safe, efficient throughput by directing operators, monitoring equipment and product flow, enforcing safety requirements, and communicating shift status and issues to operations leadership.

What you'll do

  • Direct loading and unloading of railcars, vessels, and trucks
  • make sequencing and priority decisions as conditions change
  • ensure product flow through conveyors, hoppers, and storage areas
  • execute railcar spotting and loading sequences
  • confirm equipment inspections and monitor fluid levels, filters, and greasing systems
  • report equipment issues and initiate work orders
  • enforce job hazard analyses, permits, OSHA, and environmental requirements
  • respond to and report incidents, near misses, and hazards
  • maintain housekeeping and product quality
  • provide shift handoffs and complete logs and reports
  • lead operators and coordinate tasks and coverage
  • act as signalman or perform deckhand duties when required.
