Production Assembler — Level 1

Job overview

The Production Assembler works onsite in Fountain Valley, CA. Compensation is $17 per hour. The role assembles battery packs and battery management systems at Custom Power, a manufacturer of specialized battery packs and advanced battery management systems serving medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial industries. The assembler follows technical instructions and quality standards to build products accurately, document work, and support production flow. Coordination with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors helps address production challenges and maintain consistent output.

What you'll do

• Assemble battery packs and battery management systems using blueprints, work instructions, and assembly guides
• handle and position components, wires, and connectors
• operate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
• inspect in-process and completed assemblies
• perform basic soldering and wire routing as required
• record assembly data and complete production checklists
• follow safety procedures and use required PPE
• notify supervisors about low stock
• communicate issues with parts, materials, or processes
• perform basic tool and equipment cleaning and maintenance
• collaborate with Quality Control, Engineering, and Production Supervisors
• participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Why this role

The posting requires a high school diploma or equivalent, at least one year of production, electronics assembly, or manufacturing experience, and U.S. Person eligibility for export-control compliance. Basic soldering experience is preferred but not required. Schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed.
