Job overview

The Water and Wastewater Operator role is onsite in Matthews, MO. Pay is $19–$26 per hour. The City of Matthews supports municipal water, wastewater, and public works operations. This operator maintains and monitors treatment systems and distribution and collection infrastructure, helping ensure reliable service and regulatory compliance while also supporting other city maintenance work.

What you'll do

• Operate, monitor, and maintain water and wastewater treatment systems
• maintain water distribution and wastewater collection systems
• conduct testing, sampling, and regulatory reporting
• inspect and repair lines, valves, hydrants, and pumps
• maintain records
• respond to emergencies
• perform grounds, parks, cemetery, and other public works maintenance.
