Math Instructor / Tutor

The Math Instructor / Tutor role is based at the Mathnasium learning center in Columbia, MO, with instruction also available online or in hybrid delivery. Compensation is $15–$18 per hour. Mathnasium’s stated purpose is to help children understand, master, and love math. The instructor provides individualized instruction in a group setting, assesses student progress, and works with students and parents to support learning. The role contributes to student confidence and understanding through the Mathnasium Method.

What you'll do

• Provide instruction and tutoring
• interact with parents
• use digital educational materials and processes
• teach in-center, online, or through hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method
• assess student progress
• evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
• help maintain a professional learning environment
• assist with non-instructional tasks as needed.
