The Controller, Healthcare Finance role is onsite in Methuen, MA; compensation is not specified. The Greater Lawrence Family Health Center provides patient care across the Merrimack Valley and sponsors the Lawrence Family Medicine Residency program. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Controller leads accounting operations and financial reporting to support the organization’s financial integrity and sustainability. The role oversees audits, regulatory compliance, and internal controls while partnering with finance leadership on planning and decision-making.

What you'll do

• Lead accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll accounting, fixed assets, grants accounting, cash management, and reconciliations
• direct monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• oversee financial statements and executive reports
• lead financial statement and regulatory audits and liaise with external auditors
• ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, HRSA requirements, and federal and state regulations
• oversee grant accounting, treasury management, reimbursement accounting, and internal controls
• support budgeting, forecasting, and organizational planning
• supervise and develop accounting staff.
