Activities Assistant

The Activities Assistant role is onsite in Fairfax, VA. The stated pay is $15–$22 per hour. The Boulevard Post Acute is an 81-bed sub-acute and long-term care facility where the role supports resident engagement and well-being. The assistant helps plan and deliver activities that promote residents’ social, emotional, physical, and intellectual well-being. By encouraging participation, documenting engagement, and coordinating with the interdisciplinary team, the role contributes to resident-centered care and satisfaction.

What you'll do

• Create a welcoming environment
• document resident participation
• assist with planning and implementing recreational, social, educational, and community-based programs
• build relationships and encourage participation based on residents’ interests and abilities
• collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
• communicate changes in residents’ moods, behaviors, interests, or participation
• assist with events, activity setup, and safe resident escorts
• complete activity records and reports.

Why this role
