Electric Engineering Manager, Utility Transmission and Distribution

The Electric Engineering Manager role is onsite in Lubbock, TX. Compensation is $165,000–$190,000 per year. The position leads electric utility transmission and distribution engineering operations and supports system reliability, safety, and long-term infrastructure planning. The manager develops engineering teams, oversees standards and capital projects, and ensures regulatory compliance so the utility can deliver reliable and efficient service. The role also coordinates with operations, construction, regulators, and other stakeholders.

What you'll do

• Lead and develop engineering supervisors, engineers, and technical staff
• oversee engineering plans, drawings, specifications, and material requirements
• establish engineering standards and design criteria
• provide technical guidance on designs and system studies
• manage operating and capital budgets and project delivery
• administer contracts
• partner with operations and construction
• support safety, contingency planning, and restoration
• ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, ERCOT, and Texas PUC requirements
• represent the utility in regulatory and public settings.

Why this role
