What you'll do

• Perform blood draws and other specimen collection as required
• explain collection procedures to patients
• match requisitions to specimen tubes
• label, centrifuge, split, freeze, store, and package specimens according to test and transport requirements
• maintain records and decontaminate equipment
• update patient information
• comply with OSHA and DEP regulations
• attend annual department training
• answer calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
