Grants Manager

The Grants Manager role is based in Anchorage, AK, with a Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. schedule and other hours as needed. Compensation is $81,000–$87,000 per year. Thread works to expand access to affordable, high-quality child care and supports early childhood educators and programs. The role leads the government grants program, managing the full funding lifecycle so grant resources support the organization’s mission and program priorities. It coordinates proposal development, award administration, compliance, reporting, and funder relationships with program, finance, and leadership teams.

What you'll do

• Research and evaluate government grant opportunities
• develop grant strategies and calendars
• write and coordinate proposals, budgets, and submissions
• manage awards and renewals
• track deliverables, spending, deadlines, and reporting
• prepare programmatic and financial reports
• ensure compliance
• maintain grant records and systems
• support audits and funder monitoring
• build funder and community relationships
• provide portfolio updates to leadership.
