Compensation is $41,080–$53,240 per year. The In-Home Mental Health Counselor role is a mobile, onsite position serving families in Carlisle, PA and throughout the county. George Junior Republic Preventative Aftercare provides home-based services intended to help keep families together and support safety, permanency, stability, and well-being. The counselor provides intensive, trauma-informed services to a caseload of seven to ten families referred through Children & Youth Services and/or Juvenile Probation. By engaging families with evidence-based practices and coordinating with schools, behavioral health and substance-use services, public assistance programs, and community organizations, the role supports family stability and well-being.

What you'll do

• Provide intensive, trauma-informed services to a caseload of seven to ten families in homes, schools, and community settings.
• Use evidence-based practices and treatment modalities to engage families.
• Collaborate with schools, mental health agencies, substance abuse services, public assistance programs, and other community support organizations.
• Provide 24-hour crisis intervention as required by the non-traditional schedule.
