1st Shift Weekend Transportation Specialist

The 1st Shift Weekend Transportation Specialist role is onsite in Anderson, IN. Compensation is $18 per hour. This office position is based within Carter LOGISTEED’s crossdock facility and reports to the Logistics Manager. The specialist manages customer relationships through the order process, taking ownership of freight by creating and tracking orders, anticipating problems, and finding solutions. The role supports clear coordination between customers and carriers and reliable freight movement.

What you'll do

• Maintain working knowledge of transportation systems after training
• contact carriers and customers when appropriate
• facilitate communication between carriers and customers
• organize and track freight to schedule
• communicate and escalate events through management channels
• prepare office communications
• develop proactive solutions within the network
• provide hands-on support during team absences or peak periods
• collaborate on shared best practices and adapt to process changes. Follow required PPE rules when entering the crossdock area.
