The cook prepares meals that meet residents’ dining and nutritional needs, supports dining aides, and maintains safe food handling and kitchen operations so residents can participate in the food service program.

What you'll do

• Prepare food according to weekly menus
• adapt recipes for residents’ dining needs
• monitor portions and nutritional requirements
• coordinate and participate in serving
• maintain food presentation and portion control
• train, supervise, and assign work to Dining Aides
• assist with menu planning and supply needs
• maintain a clean, safe kitchen
• handle and store food properly
• maintain inventory
• report equipment issues
• and comply with applicable regulations.
