Job overview

The Heavy Equipment Operator role is onsite in Cheyenne, WY, on a union construction project. Compensation is not specified; wages and benefits are governed by the applicable union agreement and project requirements. Earth Work Solutions performs heavy civil dirt work construction projects throughout Wyoming.

What you'll do

• Operate assigned heavy equipment for earthmoving, grading, excavation, backfilling, compaction, and site preparation
• inspect equipment before and after operation
• perform basic maintenance
• work safely around personnel, utilities, and equipment
• report hazards and mechanical issues
• follow grade stakes, plans, or GPS instructions when required
• complete logs and inspection forms
• follow safety requirements.

Why this role

Previous heavy-equipment operating experience and a valid driver’s license are required. At least two years of experience and heavy civil, earthwork, grading, or road construction experience are preferred. Schedule: Monday–Thursday 6 a.m.–6 p.m. and Friday 6 a.m.–2 p.m.; occasional weekend work may be required.
