Mold Technician

Mold Technician is an onsite, full-time role at MMI Engineered Solutions’ plastic injection molding facility in Saline, MI. Pay is $21 per hour. The role supports the company’s production mission of delivering quality products on time at a competitive price. The technician sets up and changes molds and supports injection molding operations to help maintain safe, efficient, high-quality production. The work coordinates with supervisors, process technicians, material handlers, and operators through setup, startup, shutdown, and troubleshooting activities.

What you'll do

• Perform mold setups and changeovers using established process guidelines
• prepare and stage molds and related equipment
• follow safety procedures, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out
• review setup and quality documentation
• coordinate with supervisors and material handlers to prepare work centers
• tear down and store molds and auxiliary equipment
• identify and communicate mold quality or safety concerns.

Two schedule options are listed: A Shift includes Monday through Wednesday, 6:00 a.m.–12:15 p.m., plus alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 a.m.–6:15 p.m.; D Shift includes Monday through Wednesday, 12:00 a.m.–6:15 a.m., plus alternating Thursday/Friday or Saturday/Sunday, 6:00 p.m.–6:15 a.m. The posting requests 2–5 years of plastic injection molding and mold setup experience.
