VPK After School Program Assistant

The VPK After School Program Assistant role is onsite in Davenport, FL, and is part-time and hourly. Compensation is $15–$18 per hour. The position supports Creative Inspiration Journey School’s after-school program, which serves students through an inquiry-based, student-centered educational approach. The assistant supervises students and helps provide a safe, structured, and engaging setting after the regular school day. The role supports student well-being and program continuity through attendance and dismissal procedures, activities, behavior guidance, and communication with families.

What you'll do

• Supervise students and maintain a secure environment
• track attendance and enforce check-in, dismissal, and authorized pickup procedures
• follow safety and emergency protocols and report incidents
• facilitate homework time, recreation, and enrichment activities
• assist with activity setup and transitions
• reinforce behavior expectations
• build respectful relationships with students
• communicate basic updates to parents and guardians.

Why this role

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience supervising groups of children is strongly preferred. Candidates must provide three professional references, including at least one direct supervisor.
