The Transportation Aide role is onsite in Norfolk, VA, and pays $19.23–$23.07 per hour. The part-time position supports Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority’s resident services transportation program. NRHA’s mission is to provide quality housing opportunities that create sustainable, mixed-income communities. The aide assists public housing residents while they travel in NRHA vehicles, helping passengers board and exit safely and providing information about transportation schedules and resident services. Accurate logs, vehicle care, and incident reporting support safe and dependable transportation.

What you'll do

• Assist passengers with safely boarding and exiting vans
• provide information about the resident services transportation program, van schedules, and related programs
• maintain and submit mileage logs, incident reports, gas-card usage records, and other documentation
• clean vehicle interiors as assigned
• report vehicle malfunctions and accidents.
