Crisis Worker — Mobile Crisis Response

Job overview

The Crisis Worker works onsite in Kankakee, IL, on Friday through Tuesday from 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM. Compensation is $26.50–$30.00 per hour, based on education, experience, and licensure. Thresholds’ Mobile Crisis Response Team provides community-based support as an alternative to or alongside hospitalization or police response.

What you'll do

• Answer crisis hotline calls
• conduct safety assessments
• connect callers with services or providers
• conduct face-to-face community interventions with a Peer Engagement Specialist when needed
• use the least restrictive intervention possible
• offer follow-up
• document services
• and distribute basic necessities when appropriate.
