Assistant Controller

The Assistant Controller role is onsite in Bellevue, WA. Compensation is $50–$70 per hour, DOE. The position supports U.S. and Canada general accounting functions for the client served by Addison Group. The role manages day-to-day and month-end accounting, oversees a team of three accountants, and supports accurate financial reporting, forecasts, budgets, and internal controls. It contributes to timely corporate and external reporting and improves accounting processes through system initiatives and process improvements.

What you'll do

• Supervise, mentor, and develop three accountants
• manage day-to-day and month-end accounting for U.S. and Canada general accounting
• prepare and review financial statements and analytical reports
• review journal entries, reconciliations, and account analyses
• analyze budget variances
• assist with forecasts and budgets
• implement system initiatives and automation
• coordinate quarterly reporting and audits
• maintain internal controls
• support special projects and process improvements.
