Head of Global Tax

Job overview

The Head of Global Tax role is hybrid and based at Accertify’s headquarters in Itasca, IL, with regular in-office presence and flexibility to work remotely. The base salary range is $175,000–$200,000 annually, with potential performance-based incentives. Accertify provides fraud-detection intelligence and technology that helps businesses approve more legitimate commerce. Reporting to the CFO, this leader owns global tax and compliance strategy across legal entities and advances tax technology, systems, and processes. The role supports accurate compliance and tax accounting, sound tax planning, and business decisions including mergers and acquisitions, while coordinating internal teams and external providers.

What you'll do

• Lead timely and accurate global tax filings and maintain the tax compliance calendar
• coordinate external tax providers while owning compliance
• work with accounting on quarterly and annual income tax provisions and deferred tax inventory
• oversee tax workpapers and audits
• develop tax strategies and supportable tax positions with advisors
• provide tax input and lead diligence for M&A
• work with external auditors on quarterly reviews and annual audit requests.
