HVAC/R Service Technician, Commercial and Industrial

Job overview

The HVAC/R Service Technician, Commercial and Industrial role is onsite in Waltham, MA. Compensation is $30–$50 per hour, depending on experience. CoolSys provides service across the HVAC and refrigeration industry and offers year-round work across varied systems and industries. The technician repairs, overhauls, and maintains refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment to meet customer needs safely and on time. The role also diagnoses equipment problems, documents work, and supports installations and related projects. Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.

What you'll do

• Repair and overhaul compressors, water pumps, air handlers, control devices, and other refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment
• perform preventative maintenance and diagnose malfunctions
• test systems and components using electrical or mechanical skills
• maintain work records
• process job tickets and work orders
• pick up, deliver, and install cases
• perform minor construction and remodeling work, including new-installation startups
• drive a company vehicle safely
• perform other related duties as assigned.
