Intermodal Equipment Operator

Job overview

Compensation is $26 per hour. The Intermodal Equipment Operator is an onsite role based in Kansas City, MO. 65/hr, with shift differentials available for 2nd and 3rd shifts, supporting ConGlobal's global supply chain operations. This role exists to ensure the safe and efficient movement of shipping containers within the intermodal yard. The operator utilizes specialized equipment such as hostlers, cranes, and loaders to load, unload, and relocate freight, maintaining operational safety and schedule adherence.

What you'll do

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
• Perform equipment inspections before and after use to ensure operational safety.
• Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
