Maintenance Technician II — Part-Time

The Maintenance Technician II role is onsite in Port Charlotte, FL. Compensation is $18.83 per hour. The technician supports maintenance and upkeep across St. Vincent de Paul CARES agency programs and adjacent grounds, assisting the Director of Plant Operations. The role helps keep buildings safe, secure, and operating efficiently through routine upkeep, repairs, and special maintenance projects. It also supports the Center of Hope by preparing client rooms for new admissions and addressing maintenance needs in occupied rooms.

What you'll do

• Assist and provide backup to the Director of Plant Operations
• help ensure buildings operate efficiently and remain safe and secure
• perform lawn maintenance and strip and wax floors as directed
• use carpentry, plumbing, roofing, air-conditioning, electrical, and painting skills in daily work
• undertake assigned maintenance projects
• repaint, repair, and prepare Center of Hope client rooms and address maintenance issues in existing rooms.
