The Employment Specialist, Refugee & Asylee Employment role is onsite in Evans, CO, with compensation of $21.50 per hour. Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains’ Refugee & Asylee programs help people uprooted by persecution and violence work toward self-sufficiency and community integration. The role helps refugee clients obtain and sustain employment by assessing their needs and goals, providing job-search preparation and support, and maintaining employer partnerships that expand available opportunities.

What you'll do

• Assess refugee clients and develop employment plans collaboratively
• provide pre-employment coaching, job-readiness training, resume and application assistance, and interview preparation
• coordinate referrals and supports that help clients sustain employment
• connect clients with employers and support them through applications, screening, interviews, and post-placement follow-up
• research employers and industries
• maintain client records and track program compliance and assistance payments
• travel frequently using a personal vehicle.
