Director of Client Tax Services

Job overview

The Director of Client Tax Services role is fully onsite in Scottsdale, AZ. Pay is $160,000–$200,000 per year. The role will help build a growing tax services practice serving entrepreneurs and small to mid-market businesses. The director owns client tax delivery and advisory work while leading and developing the tax team and practice operations. The role supports client financial and business goals through tax compliance, planning, and strategic guidance.

What you'll do

• Oversee tax compliance and advisory delivery across client portfolios
• review business and individual tax returns, estimates, and filings
• lead tax planning conversations on entity structure, pass-through taxation, transactions, and business growth
• serve as a senior client contact
• coach and develop tax staff
• establish review processes and quality standards
• manage deadlines and workflows
• monitor tax law and IRS guidance
• support client expansion and scalable practice systems.
