The Direct Support Professional — On-Call Flex role is onsite in Kinston, NC, primarily supporting the Day Support Program, with assignments possible across other programs. Pay is $12.00 per hour. Neuse Enterprises’ mission is to empower people with disabilities through independence, employment, training, and meaningful community inclusion. The Flex DSP provides person-centered support that promotes independence, personal growth, community inclusion, vocational development, health, safety, and dignity. The role adapts to participant needs and program assignments while supporting individual plans, daily living skills, meaningful activities, documentation, and safe community participation.

What you'll do

• Provide direct supervision and support
• help participants develop daily living and independent living skills
• facilitate activities based on participant interests and goals
• promote choice, self-advocacy, and community inclusion
• support goals in person-centered and individual support plans
• complete service documentation and incident reports
• follow safety, emergency, confidentiality, and regulatory requirements
• transport participants as assigned
• adapt to changing program assignments and schedules.

Why this role

The current schedule is as needed; ideal candidates are available Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Assignment to a specific program or department is not guaranteed. A high school diploma or GED is required; CPR, First Aid, and NCI certification may be obtained after hire.
